Blurb SUS agenda

McGill EPS Undergrads Blog
Hey Dudes and Dudettes,

At the request of Kent, here it is!

The Monteregian Society rocks … literally! Every year, our undergraduates get opportunities to travel all over the world and study the great outdoors. Last year alone we travelled to Tanzania, Iceland, Yellowstone and Barbados. The Department is a friendly place where Professors and students know each other on a first name basis. Every day at 3 pm the whole Department gets together for free coffee and cookies. Throughout the year we have Halloween and Christmas parties, as well as a traditional “wine and cheese”… which usually turns into beer and chips! We are a sporty bunch: undergrads, grads and professors team up to play intermural ultimate Frisbee, hockey and soccer.
Earth and Planetary Sciences are all about combining chemistry, physics, mathematics and biology to understand our planet from the perspective of a volcanologist, geochemist, geophysicist, petrologist or sedimentologist.
If you’re looking for a strong science degree in a small Department filled with opportunities, EPS is the only way to go! Check out our website at http://eps.mcgill.ca/monteregian/ and get a hold of Professor Don Baker (donb@eps.mcgill.ca) our undergraduate student advisor.
