LOUIS' MISSING AGAIN!!!!
Last seen wearing bandana, and with two forties taped to hands.

gotta love those sheep

hello to all (including those of you whose names i cant work out, no idea who you people are but keep on rocking)

ive arrived at my final destination (oh so dark) in christchurch (abbreviated to chch, pronounced sch-sch) and have spend my first day as a farm stiff pulling weeds out of a field. oh my how quickly the delusions of grandeur fade.

but on the upside, my uncle is goign to let me shear a sheep (ok maybe a bit of one sheep, maybe a small sheep, probably the one im goign to name michelle) on monday, and i am so psyched. ive trained all my life for this moment and im almost there.

anyway go oilers, and ive now completed the unbearable lightness of being, and the world according to garp, and im halfway through seven years, oh yes, i truly have spent alot of time travelling on buses and trains reading.

and enjoy mtl in the summer, heard shes a peach. and who is the bearded one?

hope all is well

Back from the Gap

Oh my dino!

It's officially over, I'm back in Montreal... It was such a fun time, with an unbelieveably fun group. There were a lot of experiences. After the paleontology work, we went to Climax together and checked out Big Beaver Access, in that order because the boys were selfish.

Bacon the subadult trike is now out of the ground and on his way to Montreal as we speak. They should be in northern Ontario right now. I've gotten super attached to him... it was way too exciting for words just to excavate him. Bacon was so coined because of the boys' obsession with that part of pig. I've never eaten so much beef, pork, chicken, sausages and bacon in my life nor have I ever had so many conversations about the versatility of pig each day. I think that a change in lifestyle towards vegetarianism is in order for the time being. And some girlfriends. The amount of testosterone in field school reminded me of U1. Thank God there was one other female. But it was uber fantastic anyway.

Saskatchewan was amazing, I almost didn't want to leave.

See you tonight at L-Wave's,

Paris, je t'aime (except for your keyboard)

Bonjour!!

First of all, I saw X-Men yesterday and it was great fun. They mention montréal in it AND all the super heros are great. It was subtitled in french and beast is called "la bestiole" and that made me laugh. Bref, le film est marrant quoi.

So Paris is treating us quite well. By day, my brother and I wander around and see the token tourist places and stuff our faces with pastries. By night, however, we living the life of real parisiens. Mado, my montréal roomie, gave us contacts and they're all so fun. Last night we partied with a bunch of parisiens and a few swedes, put on old vanessa paradis 45s, got high, killed many a sailor, wandered around looking for a bar, got drunk and then at 3 am we got sushi and sat on the steps of the academy of france (facing the charming wooden bridge at the louvre) and talked about nothing for hours. It was brilliant. The people here are so funny and welcoming. And to them, my brother and I are like aliens. You should hear some of the stuff they ask us, its fun. One of my favs: do you have cheese in canada?

tomorrow night, we're off to brussels. I'm going to miss paris! The city put its charms on me, and i'm officially seduced.

I miss you all very much. Hope all is going well and that the rain in montreal hqs finally stopped!!

beaucoup de bisous

Dionysus Party

Hello friends! My sister and I are having a party at my house on Friday May 26th at 5300, rue Jeanne-Mance between Fairmount and Saint-Viateur. Bring your beverages and start arriving at 8 o'clock. It will be mostly in my cute backyard, (the gods permitting, and storm of the X-MEN) where we will hopefully be having a little clandestine fire going and some music playing and perhaps some drinking games?

See you there,
Louis

a dogs life

i sat tonight, smoking a cigar, drinking some wine, reflecting on my dog. this is what ive learnt.

1. loyalty and faithfulness. what is more evident in a dog than that. standard cliches about how faithful a dog is come to mind, but i cant quite remember them, so something about how a dog always stands by her master will suffice.

2. a dog is never happier than when the pack is together. a dog values her loved ones more than anything else, with the obvious exception of bacon wrapped steaks.

3.dogs dont enjoy dramatics. they dont do things for any kind of theatre style value, no movieish qualities impress them.

4. dogs do not care what you look like. dogs love the ugly and the beautiful caring more about how they are treated. ok some might say dogs go by smell anyway, but on that note they arent fooled by perfume or cologne, in fact they only seem to be irritated by it.

5. never, ever, pet a dog that is shedding its winter coat, and then pick up your cigar and have a puff. enless you enjoy the oh-so-pleasant taste of dog hair. this is the most important thing i have learnt tonight. oh and drinking wine right afterwards will on proceed to deposit said hair in your wine, further compounding an already unfortunate situation.

ok thats all ive learnt tonight.

by the next time i post ill be standing upside down with respect to the rest of you.

Just wanted everyone to know that we're alive and well here in saskatchewan! Today we started excavating a Triceratops skull.

The field work is great here, minus the tics. It's hot, and we get all the bacon wrapped steak we can eat. The bio kids aren't half bad either (although it's no eps).

See you all soon,

Kent

butt ticks?

who was the lucky bastard who got to singe the tick off of jonny's butt?? hehehe the thought of it makes me giggle.. i mean, cringe!!

nothing too new here... spoke to blubes a.k.a. michelle deakster tonight and she is doing fine and well in calgary trying to find a new place to live because she found an awesome job with conoco!

i told her she needs to put pics on here so that we can go 'oooooh'. do you guys know if gabster accepted the job with goldbrook? I haven't heard back from her.

i'm still thinking of a book to add to the summer book club! I was thinking... the world according to garp? I bought it for 1 dollar at the word.. let me know if this is a bad/already read book for someone.

hasta la vista!

The Kent Gabby Experience

Skinny Louis, Tick-Butt and I recently ventured as to East End, Sk, to rendezvous with a pair of rapscallions.

We had adventures along the way, including such fun as trying to buy beer in Moose Jaw, and trying to find a radio station that neither playedcountry music nor was the all preaching, the all time, get more damnation for your time network.

Upon our return, Tick-butt realized that he, as you may have guessed, had a tick in his butt. This has now been dealt with, casualties only amounting to some singed derriere fuzz, and one terribly unhappy tick.

Kent and Gabby appear to be in fighting form, and look to survive the experience, though they are routinely out of camp by 8 the poor sods.

Thats all to report as of now, any doing some reading this summer dont forget to check the new books added, and add some of their own

Bahina Jon

ps. this trip was as close to Climax as Ive ever been in my life, and I think that holds for all parties involved. Wild.

Regina Ho!

After much trial and tribulation, Lou dog and the menagerie have survived till the G.

We had to spend a night on the highway, and a night smoking dope, listeningto harvest moon, but we persevered.

Peace, on this harvest moon
